Speak to me, iPhone

iOS has a number of accessibility options that make iPhones and iPads ideal devices for those with movement, vision, or hearing impairments. Some features, like Speak Selection, are useful for anybody. When enabled, a Speak button appears on the iOS Edit menu. Touch it and iOS reads aloud.

Turn Speak Selection On

1. On the Home screen, touch Settings > General > Accessibility.
2. Touch Speak Selection, then touch the Speak Selection toggle.
3. Optionally, touch the Highlight Words toggle.

Now, select some text and touch Speak.
