The Google Doodle Archive

Every so often Google changes the logo on its home page to highlight a special person or significant event. Today it focused on Earth Day.

Google calls these temporary logos Google Doodles.

Doodles are the fun, surprising, and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists.

The company makes doodles for a number of countries and features a variety of subjects that matter to different people across the globe. Folks who visit the Google home page won't see them all. Instead, visit google.com/doodles to see the complete archive.
